Wagner Fiuza-Carrilho, better known mononymously as Wagner, is a Brazilian born former martial arts and PE teacher who participated in Series 7 of The X Factor as part of the Over 28s category mentored by Louis Walsh. He was eliminated in the quarter finals, finishing in 6th place.
The X FactorEdit
Wishing to provide a better life for his son, he auditioned for the show and impressed the judges and audience with his performance of "O sole mio" and also sailed past bootcamp to judges' houses, being mentored in the Over 28s category by Louis Walsh. However, he failed to make the Top 3 until a wildcard twist saw him chosen for the show.
Throughout his time on the show he became a wildly popular figure with viewers due to his eccentric stage performances but also attracted criticism when he advanced every week over more talented acts who were sent homee. He made it to the quarter final stage but in spite of giving a rather memorable performance of "Creep" by Radiohead he landed in the final showdown alongside fellow category member Mary Byrne and was eliminated via a majority vote, thus finishing in 6th place.
