|Birth Date||22 April 1981|
Tabby Callaghan is an Irish rock singer from Sligo who participated in Series 1 of The X Factor as part of the Over 25s category mentored by Sharon Osbourne. He was eliminated in the semi final, finishing in 3rd place.
He played in many collectives and groups as a teenager growing up in Sligo. With his brother Dominic formed his first real band, called Petronella around 1998. The band had some success in Ireland and their single "Feeling So Low" entered the Irish top 20 singles chart.
The X FactorEdit
After the band split, Tabby formed a new band called DZ5. They auditioned for the inaugural series of the show but the judges felt it would be better if he auditioned on his own and asked him to come back. He gained three yeses and made it past bootcamp through to Judges' Houses as part of the Over 25s category mentored by Sharon Osbourne.
In Week 5, he landed in the Bottom 2 alongside Cassie Compton with the latter being sent home after Osbourne refused to vote to send home either one of her acts.
He made it to the semi final where he was eliminated, finishing in 3rd place.
