The X Factor USAEdit
Like felllow contestant Drew before her, Crow's elimination caused an outrage because she was considered a possible frontrunner to win. It has also caused a debate amongst fans and critics over whether the show's miminum audition age of 12 should be raised. Crow was devastated and cried hysterically after the results were read. Nicole Scherzinger was considered by many to be responsible for placing the vote on deadlock, and America voted that Rachel was being sent home. Nicole was very upset as much as Crow. When she was asked if she wanted to say something to Crow, Nicole had nothing to say and turned away and was booed by the audience for sending the vote to deadlock. TMZ interviewed an upset Nicole after the show, but Crow came to her room and comforted her.
Rachel had been offered a contract with Disney, but on February 22, 2012 it was announced that she had signed a television deal with Nickelodeon and a record deal with Columbia Records. Crow released her self-titled EP on June 26, 2012. The EP's lead single is called "Mean Girls", which Crow co-wrote. She, along with Cody Simpson, opened for the popular group Big Time Rush on their Summer Tour 2012.
Crow is currently starring in the Nickelodeon show Fred: The Show as Starr. She will also make her film debut in Rio 2, providing the voice of Blu and Jewel's daughter, Jasmine.
