Nicola 'Niki' Evans is an English singer from Tamworth, Staffordshire who finished in 4th place in Series 4 of The X Factor. She was part of the Over 25s category mentored by Louis Walsh.

The X FactorEdit

Having previously been signed to Libido Records, a subsidiary of Pete Waterman's PWL Records and failing to find success, she applied for Series 4 after finding an application form among her father's belongings. She auditioned in front of the judges and successfully made it to Judges' Houses where she was mentored by Louis Walsh in the Over 25s category. He selected her as part of his Top 3 for the live shows. Her Week 1 performance of Sinead O'Connor's "Nothing Compares 2 U" was given a standing ovation by the judges and audience and Sharon Osbourne called her "a class act".

Throughout the competition, she never ended up in the Bottom 2 and was eliminated at the semifinal stage, finishing in 4th place.

Post The X FactorEdit

After joining her fellow finalists on the live tour, she sang with John Barrowman at Symphony Hall, Birmingham and alongside Kim Wilde and Heather Small in Dubai.

Since 2008, she has regularly appeared in West End productions.
