The X Factor
She first auditioned for the show in 2004 and made it as far as bootcamp before being sent home by Simon Cowell. She returned the following year and had more success making to Judges' Houses in the Over 25s category mentored by Sharon Osbourne.
She successfully made it to Week 5 of the live shows, even topping the vote in Week 4, before finding herself in the Bottom 2 alongside The Conway Sisters. Both Simon and Louis voted to send her home over the sisters and she finished in 8th place. However, it was later revealed that she had polled more votes and if the vote had gone to the public she would have stayed. Her elimination came as a shock as she had been an early favourite to win.
Post The X Factor
In March 2006, she announced that she had signed a record deal with Sony BMG and released her debut single "Sleepwalking" which peaked at #20 on the UK charts. Her self-titled debut album was released in August of that year and narrowly missed out on the UK Top 40, charting at #41.
A second album failed to materialise but she was signed to a fashion label and has made several stage appearances on London's West End.
