Kelendria Trene "Kelly" Rowland (born 11 February 1981) is an American singer, songwriter, actress and televison personality who first gained fame as a member of the pop/R&B group Destiny's Child and achieved success as a solo artist. She has also worked as an actress, appearing films such as Freddy vs. Jason and The Seat Filler. She later became a judge for The X Factor UK and became a judge on The X Factor USA for its final season in 2013. Her fourth solo album, Talk A Good Game, was released on June 18, 2013.
The X Factor UKEdit
In 2011, she joined the judging panel for Series 8 of The X Factor alongside Louis Walsh, Tulisa Contostavlos and Gary Barlow. She was put in charge on the Girls category but was absent during Week 4 due to illness. This caused rumours to circulate that she had had a fight with fellow judge Tulisa Contostavlos as she was replaced on the judging panel by winner Alexandra Burke that week. However, she cast her vote during the sing off via a phone call from LA. She returned for the remainder of the series and after the show ended, it was reported that she would not be returning for the following series which she eventually confirmed on April 30, 2012. She was replaced by Nicole Scherzinger.
The X Factor USAEdit
For her only season on the show, Rowland mentored the Over 25s catgory, which featured the runner-up, rocker Jeff Gutt.
