Jennel Garcia (born June 8, 1994) is an American pop-rock singer from Rochester, Massachusetts who finished in 11th place on Season 2 of The X Factor USA, mentored by Demi Lovato in the Young Adults category.
The X Factor USAEdit
Garcia auditioned for the show in Providence, Rhode Island where she wowed the judges with her rendition of "Paris (Oh La La)" by Grace Potter and The Nocturnals. She continued to impress at bootcamp and made it to Judges' Homes with Demi Lovato as her mentor. However, Garcia struggled a bit but still managed to do well enough to make it to the live shows, where she wowed everyone with her version of the Motley Crue classic "Home Sweet Home", which earned her a spot in the top 12. However, despite strong performances and a devoted fanbase, Garcia was eliminated on November 15, 2012, finishing in 11th place. Her elimination has caused an outrage especially towards her mentor Demi Lovato.
Post The X Factor USAEdit
After her elimination, she began working on her debut album and in May 2014 she uploaded a 1 min teaser of her debut single 'Hate To Love You' on YouTube. She later uploaded the full song which was met with acclaim from her fans.
