Hope were a five-piece (originally six) girlband consisting of Charlie Mole, Emily Biggs, Raquelle Gracie, Leah Lauder and Phoebe Brown who finished in 5th place in Series 4 of The X Factor. They were part of the Groups category mentored by Simon Cowell.
The X FactorEdit
Originally auditioning as soloists, the girls did not make it past bootcamp but judge Louis Walsh suggested they re-audition as a group with a sixth member Sisi Jghalef. They reached Judges' Houses and Simon Cowell selected them as his Top 3 groups for the live shows. However, Jghalef was forced to leave the competition due to having a previous criminal conviction. The rest of the group continued as a five-piece.
They found themselves in the Bottom 2 in Weeks 3 and 5 alongside Futureproof and Beverley Trotman, respectively, surviving both times, but the following week they were eliminated as the act with the fewest public votes, thus finishing in 5th place.
Post The X FactorEdit
The group failed to find success post show and eventually split in 2009. Phoebe joined the group Girls Can't Catch but their two singles failed to chart.
Emily joined the group Parade and scored a Top 10 single with their debut single "Louder" but their follow-up singles were less successful and they were dropped by their label in 2012 before splitting in 2013.
