Futureproof were an all-male group consisting of Aaron Delahunty, Adam Chandler, Matthew Protheroe, Richard Wilkinson and Sean Rumsey. They were put together as a band after being rejected as soloists at bootcamp. They were mentored by Simon Cowell and were eliminated in Week 3 of the live shows, finishing in 9th place.
The X FactorEdit
Auditioning as soloists, each singer was rejected at bootcamp but Louis Walsh suggested putting them together as a band. From here, they made it all the way to judges houses as part of the Groups category mentored by Simon Cowell, who selected them for the live shows.
They were eliminated via majority vote in the third live show after ending up in the Bottom 2 against girl group Hope. They finished in 9th place.
Post The X FactorEdit
The band failed to find success after the show and split up.
Matthew Protheroe, going by the stage name Vince Kidd, auditioned for the 2012 series of The Voice UK and joined Jessie J's team. He reached the final, finishing in 4th place and went on to release an EP. Sean Rumsey auditioned for the show the following year but was knocked out in the Battle rounds.
Adam Chandler joined swing band Jack Pack who reached the final of the eighth series of Britain's Got Talent, finishing in 4th place.
