Placement 5/12

Eton Road were a four-piece boyband made up of Anthony Hannah, Danny Morris, David Heath and Jay Edwards. They finished in 5th place in Series 3 of The X Factor and were mentored by Louis Walsh.

The X Factor

In 2006, they auditioned and made it all the way to Judges' Houses as part of the Groups category mentored by Louis Walsh. They were eliminated at this stage of the competition but were brought back after another band, Avenue, misled the judges over an existing contract they had with a manager who used to be associated with the show.

They survived until Week 6 of the live shows when they found themselves in the Bottom 2 for the first time alongside Robert Allen, who was sent home by the judges in a majority vote. The following week they again found themselves in the Bottom 2 alongside Ben Mills and as Simon Cowell had the casting vote, he chose to eliminate them.

Post The X Factor

Soon after exiting the show, Anthony Hannah left the band and was replaced by Marcus Collins, who would go on to finish as runner-up in Series 8.

They released their debut single in 2008 and were signed by Malcom Feld. Collins was advised to leave the group and although the remaining members attempted to continue on they announced their split in October 2008.
