Cher Lloyd (born July 28, 1993) is an English pop/R&B/hip-hop singer who finished in fourth place after reaching the final of Series 7 of The X Factor UK. Her mentor during that series was Cheryl Cole and she was part of the Girls category.

Lloyd has gone on to become successful since that time with her single "Swagger Jagger", which hit number 1 on the UK Singles Charts on August 7, 2011. Her debut album Sticks + Stones was released in the UK via Syco

Music on November 7, 2011 and has sold 224,198 copies since its release. Lloyd also got the chance to headline her first major concert tour called the Sticks and Stones Tour, which went from March to April of 2012. One of her singles, "Want U Back" featuring rapper Astro from X Factor USA, was supposed to be released in the United States sometime in April 2012, but a newer version of the song, which doesn't feature Astro, was instead released in the US on May 22, 2012. "Want U Back" has since gone platinum, having sold over a million copies. S

ticks + Stones was later released in the United States on October 2, 2012 via Epic Records. Her second album, Sorry I'm Late, was released on May 23, 2014 and garnered positive reviews form critics as wel as peak at number 12 on the Billboard 200. However, she later admitted to Larry King in an interview that she has since left Syco Music due disagreements with Simon Cowell over the direction of her career. She is still signed to Epic Records in the United States.

Lloyd later hit the road with Little Mix and Fifth Harmony as opening acts when Demi Lovato's Neon Lights Tour kicked off in Vancouver, Canada on February 9, 2014. She and Lovato also collaborated on the song "Really Don't Care".

The same year saw the release of her second album Sorry I'm Late which saw a change in direction from the sound of her debut album.  The first single "Sirens" was praised for her vocals and mature sound.

Personal Life

In January 2012, Lloyd announced her engagement to her boyfriend of less than a year, Craig Monk. The couple were married at a secret ceremony on 18 November 2013
