The X Factor

Alexandra first auditioned for the show in Series 2 and made it all the way to Judges' Houses where she was in the 16-24s category mentored by Louis Walsh.  However, he did not select her for the live shows as he felt that she needed to mature.

She returned three years later and wowed the judges with her audition.  She again made it all the way to Judges Houses where she was placed in the Girls category mentored by Cheryl Cole.  She subsequently went on to win the series, beating JLS and Eoghan Quigg in the final.

Her debut single "Hallelujah" became the UK Christmas #1 and went on to become the biggest-selling winner's single until it was replaced in 2015 by Series 9 winner James Arthur's winner's single.

Post The X Factor
